Equipment

  • 1 large stock pot
  • 1 knife for veggies
  • 1 cutting board

Ingredients
  

  • 2 TBSP butter
  • 2 lbs boneless beef stew meat chuck, 1" cubes
  • 4 c hot water
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 med onion sliced
  • 1 small bay leaf
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 6 med/large carrots 1" chunks
  • 3 large potatoes 1" chunks

Instructions
 

  • Brown meat thoroughly in 2 T Butter
  • Add all other ingredients EXCEPT potatoes and carrots, simmer 1 hr 45 min, adding water if necessary
  • Add carrots and potatoes and cook about 30 min until vegetables are tender
