Salted Caramel Oatmeal Cookie Recipe

This buttery old fashioned cookie will bring back childhood at Grandma's with every bite

  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 mixer
  • 2 cookie sheet pans
  • 2 parchment paper
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons

Ingredients
  

  • 1 C Butter 2 sticks
  • 1 C White Sugar
  • 1 C Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 C All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 C Whole Wheat Flour Fresh Ground if possible
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 C Raw Oats
  • 1 C Walnuts Finely chopped
  • 1 C Caramel Chips
  • Coarse Sea Salt For sprinkling on top

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350F
  • Cream butter and sugars together in mixing bowl. Blend well
  • Add Vanilla and Eggs
  • In separate bowl, mix together dry ingredients
  • Add chopped nuts and caramel chips
  • Add dry ingredients gradually into wet ingredients in mixing bowl
  • Scoop dough into 1 1/2 inch balls
  • Place on parchment on cookie sheet
  • Bake at 350F for 8-9 minutes, until center is done
